FAQS

When are your services?

Our Sunday morning services are at 8:30 and 10:15 am at the Hillcrest campus.

Where do I take my children?

When you arrive at Hillcrest, follow the signs directing you to Children’s Ministries. There is a check-in station in the Fellowship Hall on the lower level and someone will be there to assist you as you register your child. Next, walk your infant through preschooler to their appropriate classrooms also on the lower level. Your kindergartner through 4th grader will attend the beginning of the service with you. They will be dismissed before the sermon to go to the Activity Center with their teacher.

What can I expect on my first visit?

Coffee, welcoming smiles, a message from God’s Word, and an invitation to come back next week!

Do you have programs for students?

Elevate for 5th through 8th grades happens at the Hillcrest campus on Sunday nights from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

DV8 for 9th through 12th grades happens at the Hillcrest campus on Wednesday nights from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Fun activities are planned throughout the year.

What denomination is Hillcrest Bible Church?

We are a non-denominational church.

What if I come from a different faith background, or no background at all?

You are welcome at Hillcrest!

Is there a dress code for your services?

No, you can come as you are! You will encounter the occasional suit and tie and lots of casual wear.

What kind of worship music do you use?

Our music is upbeat and contemporary and always biblically sound. We sometimes sing hymns, often set to new music but occasionally appreciated in their traditional sound.

What if I don’t know much about the Bible?

That’s OK! We are all here to learn. We provide Bibles in the pocket of the chair in front of you and will refer you to the page number to help you find the text for the message. If you do not have your own Bible, you are welcome to take one home with you.

What if I’m not sure I believe in God?

We invite you to sit and soak in the truth about God that we sing about and study each week. We encourage your questions and hope you’ll keep coming back to get them answered.

Are you going to ask me for money?

Guests and visitors are only asked to put a “Connect Card” card into the offering plate each week. Those who call Hillcrest their church home are encouraged to obey God’s Word and invest financially in their local church.

How can I become a member of Hillcrest Bible Church?

Membership is a serious and important step at Hillcrest. To become a member, we ask you to commit to this local church and in turn make several commitments to you. Hillcrest 101, our membership class, is offered periodically as part of Grow U. The class is a great first step for understanding our beliefs, vision and values, and helps you better gauge if Hillcrest is the right church home for you.
